Episode 43
The existence of moral truth seems so obvious that it may be difficult to comprehend why anyone would deny it in favor of moral relativism. I argue that there are at least four reasons people subscribe to moral relativism: (1) It seems to follow from atheism; (2) To justify one's sin; (3) The desire for moral neutrality and non-judgmentalism; (4) They think moral disagreements means there is no moral truth. I critique each of these reasons, and then explain why it is that humans disagree on moral matters.
